Frequently Asked Questions
How do I size a dryer for my Central Office?
Dielectric recommends that the flow from the office be at least 30% of the capacity of the dryer.
What type of warranty does my Dielectric air dryer have?
Dryers with piston compressors are warranteed for one year and dryers with DC (water sealed) compressors have a two year warranty.
Why does my dryer have a water ejector and where do I run the drain?
Depending on the conditions in your location a water sealed dryer can produce as much as (5) five gallons of excess water per week. This is water that is reclaimed from the purge air when the towers regenerate.
You can run the water drain to a sink or other location that is up to 200 feet away and can have a vertical rise of up to 15 feet.
Will extremely humid conditions affect the operation of my air dryer?

The drying towers on all Dielectric air dryers are sized to operate in conditions up to 100% relative humidity.

How often does my Dielectric dryer require maintenance?
Dielectric water sealed dryers require maintenance twice a year (water and air filters) while the dryers with piston type compressors require filter changes quarterly. Proper maintenance will extend the like of the air dryer.
My air dryer, operating on an ATS-300, will not restart after an alarm?
Turn the power switch on the front panel off and then on again. Then check the toggle switch on the IUC to be sure that it has been toggled to the reset position.
Can I install a field repairable dielectric compressor in my "Other Manufacturers" air dryer.
Yes! Contact Dielectric to determine the proper compressor and adaptor kit required for the change.
