As widely reported in the news, the majority of the United States is now firmly in the midst of a second COVID-19 wave, and most states are now seeing an alarming rise in cases. Our state of Maine is not immune to these trends, and many businesses and schools have reduced operating hours or temporarily closed to minimize cases and outbreaks.
While there is no state government mandate that affects Dielectric at this time, we will err on the side of caution and close onsite operations through Sunday, December 6. General business operations will continue uninterrupted from our home offices, and a small crew will be available for emergency needs.
Considering the escalation of new cases, and that most US businesses will close or reduce hours for the Thanksgiving holiday next week, the time is right to take measures that will minimize health risks for our staff and their families, as well as our visiting partners and customers. We wish everyone health and safety, and will return full-time to our Raymond facility on Monday, December 7 pending new government mandates around business operations.
